Max Rubin - Animator, Storyteller, 3D Generalist

Hey there! I'm Max Rubin -- I was born and raised in Palo Alto, CA, and my whole life I have been an entertainer; whether it be as my High School's football and basketball mascot, dancing around and singing on my parents' bed at age 5 (there's video proof that this happened), or making flip-books in the corners of my 3rd-grade schoolbooks, I have been dedicated to putting on a show. Since 2004, though, my passion has been set on creating animations, whether it be in Flash, stop-motion, Maya, Cinema4D, or balls of lint on the floor. At first I started off doing silly music videos and short self-initiated projects in Macromedia Flash MX (yep, before Adobe acquired it), but I eventually switched to 3D when I attended and graduated from the Animation and Digital Arts program at the USC film school (class of '13). My animated work has been in numerous film festivals, and I've worked for clients such as Disney Interactive, Riot Games, Production Club, Inc., Conde Nast and Vanity Fair, Cirque Du Soleil, Brave New Films, former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Eye Vapor, and Macy's. Character animation and storytelling are my specialties, and I've long made audiences laugh and sometimes cry with my short animated films.
